James Haywood
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - James P. Haywood Jr. died Monday, March 15, 1999, in Monteagle, Tenn. He was 85.
Mr. Haywood was an employee of the enforcement division of the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board for about 28 years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and the recipient of the ATO Medal, APTO Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the WWWII Victory Medal.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Shepherd, San Jose, Calif., and Jane Overbeck, Chattanooga; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be today in Maple Hill cemetery in Huntsville.
Arrangements are by Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
Stella Lansden
STEVENSON, Ala. - Evangelist Stella M. Lansden of Stevenson, Ala., and formerly of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, in a local hospital. She was 55.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Lou Timberlake Earl, Fackler, Ala.; four sisters, Sarah T. Perry, Chattanooga, Rita F. Timberlake, Dallas, Mary E. Pickett and Tonye E. Bibbs, both of Scottsboro, Ala.; five brothers, Ralph W. Timberlake, Huntsville, Ala., John P. Timberlake, Nashville, Michael R. Timberlake, Athens, Ala., the Rev. Billy J. Earl, Scottsboro, and Grant W. Earl, Chattanooga.
Services will be today at 1 p.m. CST at St. Elizabeth M.B. Church in Scottsboro, with the Rev. Bruce Williams officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Gospel Expression and the Family Gospel Warriors of Faith.

BRIDGEPORT, Ala - Lula Starnes died Monday, March 8, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 88.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Starnes.
Survivors include her sister, Lois Isabel, Huntsville, Ala.; nieces and nephews.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. CST at Rudder Funeral Home with Perry Woods officiating.
Burial will be in Guntersville (Ala.) City Cemetery.

STEVENSON, Ala. - Elizabeth Ann Thomas died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 79.

Burial will be in Stevenson City Cemetery.
Rosie Robbins
RAINSVILLE, Ala. - Rosie Sweat Robbins of Powell, Ala., died Monday, March 8, 1999. She was 51.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Robbins; and two sisters, Betty Arbaan, Georgia, and Patricia Hammock, Florida.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Straight Creek Church.
Burial will be in New Canaan Cemetery.

RAINSVILLE - Nina Faye Clifton died Sunday, May 9, 1999, in an area hospital. She was 68.

BRIDGEPORT, Ala. - Mable Marie Guess died Sunday, March 21, 1999, at her home. She was 72.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Jean O'Conner, Alliance, Ohio, and Shirley Guess and Sheila Stewart, Stevenson, Ala.; three sons, Ronald Scott and Craig Guess, Stevenson, and Larry Guess, Birmingham, Ala.; her mother, Elizabeth Knipp, Apache, Ariz.; five sisters, Dora Mudrick and Charlene Knipp, Arizona, Loraine Barker, Ohio, Mary Case, Alabama, and Ann Williams, West Virginia; three brothers, Eugene and Roger Myers, Ohio, and Paul Myers, Tennessee; 26 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Stevenson Church of God with Roy Dix officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be today at the church.

BRIDGEPORT, Ala. - Bobby Joe Hamilton died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at his home. He was 38.
He owned and operated a truck.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hamilton; a daughter, Samanthia Jane Hamilton; son, Chase Lebron Hamilton, all of Bridgeport; five sisters, Betty Margaret Thompson, Whitwell, Tenn., Judy Grimes, Guild, Tenn., Mary Blair, Ladd, Tenn., and Jean Easterly and Betty Slatton, Sequatchie, Tenn.; five brothers, Dennis Hamilton and Mike Tinker, Whitwell; Bill, Chris and Jerry Hamilton, Sequatchie; and a stepmother, Imogene Hamilton, Sequatchie.
Services will be today at 10 a.m. CST at Rudder Funeral Home with the Rev. J.B. Pardisc and the Rev. Mike Headrick officiating.
Burial will be in Grant cemetery in Scottsboro, Ala.
Hugo Henderson
FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Hugh "Hugo' Miles Henderson died Monday, March 22, 1999, in an area hospital. He was 67.
He was a press operator and attended the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Lura Bell Henderson; son, Rodney Henderson; three daughters, Myra Cantrell, Wanda Evett and Becky Wright, all of Fort Payne; two sisters, Mae Jackson and Ruth Roberts, Fort Payne; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Burt Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Oliver officiating.
Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery.
Anna Lambert
BRIDGEPORT, Ala. - Anna Belle Lambert died Sunday, March 21, 1999, at the home of her daughter in South Pittsburg, Tenn. She was 80.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport and was the widow of Alfred Lambert Sr.
Survivors include two sons, James Lambert Sr. and Alfred Lambert Jr., both of Bridgeport; five daughters, Linda Thomas, Bridgeport, Ann Born, Rossville, Kathy Wells, South Pittsburg, Pam Owens, Missoula, Mont., and Janet Steele, Stevenson, Ala.; 23 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with the Rev. David Smith officiating.
