Funeral services for Paul Franklin Vines, 67, Clanton, were held at Temple Assembly of God on Monday, April 8, 2002, with Rev. Wally Helfinstine officiating. Burial followed at Temple Assembly of God Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Vines was born on July 30, 1934, in Clanton, the son of the late Ernest F. Vines and the late Ethel Belle Mims Vines. He served in the Army and was employed in maintenance. He died on April 6, 2002, at his residence. Survivors include one daughter, Paula Mims, Clanton; one grandson, Matthew Mims, Clanton; two Granddaughters, Emily Mims and Karleigh Mims, both of Clanton; one sister, Elaine Foshee, Clanton; one brother, John David Vines, Clanton.

Funeral services for Willie Delores Reynolds, 92, of Clanton are today, Feb. 20, 1998, at Clanton First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Trobaugh officiating. Burial is in Clanton City cemetery with Martin Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Reynolds was born Feb. 13, 1906, in Elmore County to the late James Vines and Hattie Guy Higgins. She was a homemaker. She died Feb. 16, 1998, at LaRocca Nursing Home in Tuscaloosa. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard Reynolds and Louise Reynolds of Tuscaloosa; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis H. Reynolds II and Martha Reynolds of West Covina, Ca.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pall bearers are Bill Burnett, John Hollis Jackson, Sibley Reynolds, Bobby Lane, Morris Moates and Danny Alred. Honorary pallbearers are Evelyn Hardy and staff of LaRocca Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omar L. Reynolds. The family requests memorials be made to Clanton First United Methodist Church of the Methodist Children's Home.

Vinson who died in the Civil War and of Mrs. Ellafair Price Vinson. She was born 1862. Her Husband, Mr. Ben H. Wells died in 1905. John H. Vinson, age 80, died at his home in the Friendship Community Monday. burial was at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. He is survived by his Wife, Mrs. Julia Belle Dennis Vinson, 2 Sons, Sam and Herman, 3 Daughters, Mrs. Lena Armstrong, Mrs. Eual Martin of Clanton, Mrs. Ellis Martin of Birmingham, 3 Brothers, A. P., N. A., and E. J. Vinson. His First Wife was Miss Mary Frances Kicker, two of the above named Children, Sam and Mrs. Cecil Armstrong were by his First Wife. Five Children by his First Wife preceded him to the Grave, Turner Vinson, Davis Vinson, Mary E. Vinson Mims, Wife of J.Z. Mims, Beulah Vinson, Libby Vinson Mims. He was a Son of Elijah Jerome and Mary Ann Ray Vinson and he was the first born of their Eleven Children.

Mrs. Sallie Vinson, age 69, was buried at Bethsalem. She died at the home of her Daughter-In-Law, Mrs. Doshia Vinson, near Bethsalem Tuesday night. She was born at Coopers, daughter of Uriah and Mary Jane Carwile Eiland. She was the Widow of Late Willie Vinson who was Son of the Late John R. Vinson. Surviving are 3 Sons, and one daughter W.G. Vinson, J.C. Vinson, and L.L. Vinson, and Mrs. E.W. Clenner of Clanton.
Vinson, Kinion Murphy

Mr. Kenion Murphy Vinson, father of Clanton dentist Ken Vinson, died in a house fire New Year's day. Clanton Fire Chief Johnny Smith said the fire apparently started in a floor furnace around 3:00 a.m. January 1 and quickly spread throughout Mr. Vinson's Martha Street home. Firemen said that Mr. Vinson apparently was awakened by the fire and tried to escape. His body was found in a closet in the bedroom and it is believed that he became confused and mistook the closet door for one leading outside.
Kenion Murphy Vinson, 86, of Clanton died January 1 at his residence. He was a native of Chilton County. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gertiwyle McClendon of Scottsboro; one son, Dr. Kinyon Vinson; one sister, Mrs. Leila Bean; both of Clanton; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Saturday, January 2, 11:00 a.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery. Rev. J. W. Shaw and Dr. James Walters officiated. Martin Funeral Home directed.

Services for Lena (Vinson) Armstrong, 92, of Clanton were Thursday, October 24, 1996, at 3 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Griffin officiating. Burial was in the Concord Baptist cemetery in Clanton with Martin Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Armstrong was born March 24, 1904, in Chilton County to the late John H. and Frances Kicker Vinson. She worked as an office clerk. A widow, she died Tuesday, October 22, 1996, at South Haven Nursing Home in Birmingham. She is survived by two sisters: Pearl Martin and Elsie Martin, both of Birmingham; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith, a service station owner, died at Brookwood Medical Center Feb. 15. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Smith of Clanton; daughter, Joan Smith of Hoover; son, Bonny Smith of Clanton; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. He was the son of Ira and Beulah Smith.
