Burial will follow at Popwell cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Lucas was born on Aug. 17, 1953, in Chilton County, the son of the late Arthur Earl Lucas and the late Pearl Lucas. He worked in construction. He died at his residence on Oct. 2, 2001. Survivors include one daughter, Brandi (David) Little, Clanton; one granddaughter, Haley Little, Clanton; and four sisters, Edna Dale, Joyce Crumpton, and Patsy Fulmer, all of Clanton, and Kathy Ormes, Florida.

Survivors include one son, Jimmy Boockholdt, Birmingham, one daughter-in-law, Angela Boockholdt, Birmingham; one brother, S. E. Maddox, Jemison; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Boockholdt.
