Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Baptist cemetery in Plantersville, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at Martin Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Lewis was born on Feb. 13, 1920, in Alabama, the daughter of the late James E. and Emma Chandler. She was a homemaker. She died on Dec. 6, 2000, at her residence. Survivors include one son, Charles E. Lewis, Maplesville; one daughter Linda N. Lewis, Maplesville; and two grandchildren.

Ann Little, age 2, Daughter of Edward and Rosa McDowell Little, died Sunday, April 22. Funeral was conducted by Rev. G. G. Williams, burial Samaria Cemetery. She is survived by her Parents, 2 Sisters, Kathryn and Ruth Little, 1 Half-Sister, Jeanette Little, and 1 Half-Brother, Cecil Little of Howard College. She is also survived by her Grandfather, J.W. McDowell, Clanton, Rt. 2.

Little, James Houston
1915 - July 30, 1999
Funeral services for James Houston Little, 84, Homewood, will be held on Aug. 1, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton, with Rev. Roy Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Little was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jemison. After retirement from the U.S. Postal Service in Birmingham. Little lived in Jemison for many years. A resident of Victory Place retirement apartments in Homewood. Little died on July 30, 1999. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nellogene Little; one sister, Mildred Martin, Sylacauga; five children; James R. Little, Pelham, Mary Ann Webb, Calera, Leon Dyer, Branchville; Dixie Dobra, Lilburne, GA; and Douglas Little, Chelsea; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Little, Kathryn
1938 - September 21, 2001
Funeral services for Kathryn Little Cleckler, 63, and a resident of Hamstead, N.C., were held on Monday, Sept. 24, 2001 at Scott's Hill Baptist Church in Hamstead, N.C., with Rev. Phil Ortego officiating. and Jones Funeral Home directing. Interment followed at Sealawn Memorial Park in Hamstead, N.C. She died on Sept. 21, 2001 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington, N.C. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Little. She is survived by two sons, Jackie Cleckler of Selma and Ronnie Cleckler of Hamstead, N.C.; a daughter, Janice Money of Auburn; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, 725 Wellington Ave., Wilmington, NC.

Little, Margarite J.

Mrs. Margaret Little Mitchell, age 74, died at the home of her Daughter, Mrs. A. D. Scott, Sunday. Burial was at Chestnut Creek. She is survived by on Brother, W.J. Little of Clanton, Route 2, 2 Sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Little Castleberry of Marbury, and Mrs. Nancy Jane Jacks of Arcadia, La., 3 Sons, Jim Mitchell, Jesse Mitchell, and Sam Mitchell and one Daughter, Mrs. A.D. Scott. Her Husband Rev. C.C. Mitchell died several years ago. She was the Daughter of Enoch Newton and Nancy Lucinda Carroll Little of Coosa County.

Little, Martha Dennis
October 20, 1866 - November 26, 1935
Mrs. Martha Jane Dennis Little, Wife of William Jesse Little, Clanton Route 2, died while on a visit to her Brother, Mr. Bud Dennis, near Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Coosa County last Thur. Mrs. Little was born and reared in Coosa County, the Daughter of James Madison and Mary Hardy Dennis. The Little Family moved to Chilton County 2 miles west of Coopers in the Bethel Community Nov. 11, 1918. Burial was at Chestnut Creek Cemetery. She is survived by her Husband, 2 Sons, Luther E. Little, County Supt of Educaiton of Clanton, Edward Little of Clanton Route 2, Miss Beatrice Little of Tuscaloosa, Mrs. Charlie E. Blalock of Clanton Route 2, and Mrs. Tom Wells of Clanton and several brothers and sisters. Three children died in early childhood while the Family still lived in Coosa County. She died of Pneumonia.

Little, Nancy Lucinda Carroll

Mrs. Nancy Lucinda Carroll Little, age 94, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Little Castleberry, of Marbury. Burial was at Salem Baptist cemetery in Coosa Co. by the grave of her Late Husband James Newton Little. She is survived by 3 Daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Castleberry of Marbury, Mrs. Margaret Mitchell of Clanton, and Mrs. Nancy Jacks of Ruston, Louisiana, one Son, William Jesse Little of Clanton Route 2, 28 Grandchildren and 48 Great Grandchildren. She was the Grandmother of Prof. Luther E. Little of Clanton.

Burial followed at Bethsalem Baptist Church Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Blalock was born Dec. 31, 1905, in Coosa County, the daughter of the late Jessie Little and the late Mary Patterson Little. She was a homemaker. She died at Elmore Community Hospital in Wetumpka. Survivors include two sons, Rev. Hershel Blalock, Clanton, Howard Blalock, Prattville; one daughter, Lois Mims, Billingsley; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie E. Blalock; one son, Houston Blalock; and one daughter, Lucille Kelley.

Davenport and Frances Elizabeth Davenport, she died Saturday, April 12, 2003 at Santa Rosa Convalescent Center in Santa Rosa, Fla. Survivors include her son, Bill Little of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; grandson Alan Little of Gulf Breeze, Fla. and great-grandchildren William Little and Christopher Little of Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Little, William Horace, Sr.

Funeral services for William Horace Little, Sr., 81, Clanton, will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chuck Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Little was born on July 5, 1917, in Jefferson County, the son of the late Henry and Mary Katherine Golden Little. He was a mechanic and served in the Army. He died on June 28, 1999, at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Ruth D. Little, Clanton; one brother J.H. Little, Birmingham; one sister, Mildred Martin, Sylacauga; one son, William "Bill" Little, Prattville; one grandson; two great-grandchildren.

Jacks of Arcadia, La. and Mrs. Rebecca Little Castleberry of Sylacauga. Native of Coosa County, he was the Son of Enoch Newton and Nancy Lucinda Carroll Little. He moved from Coosa county with his Family to Chilton County Nov. 11, 1918.

Littlefield was born on Oct. 31, 1918, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Martin and Alice Gore. She was a homemaker. She died at her residence on Aug. 27, 1999. Survivors include two sons, Roger Littlefield, Clanton, and Myron Littlefield, Jemison; one daughter, Sherry Burcham, Jemison; three sisters, Gertys Robinson and Ollie Ellison, Clanton, and Attis Corns, Birmingham; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavern Littlefield.

He died at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham on March 17, 1999. He was a store owner. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Littlefield, Jemison; two sons, Roger Littlefield, Clanton, and Myron Littlefield, Jemison; one daughter, Mrs. Sherry Burcham, Jemison; one brother, Joe Earl Littlefield, Pelham; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
