Pisgah cemetery in Clanton with the Martin Memorial cemetery directing. Mr. Jones was born in Chilton County on October 9, 1923 to the late Wesley Jones and Sussie Cleckley Jones. He died at his residence in Clanton on July 11, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Willodean Jones, Clanton; a daughter, Annette Mims, Clanton; a grandson, Greg Mims, Clanton; in-law, Renee Mims, Clanton; a great-grandchild, Kaelyn Mims, Clanton; four brothers and three sisters, J. She was an owner and operator. She died at her residence on May 22, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Jones.

Born to Exer Washington Blackmon and Janie Jones Blackmon of Coosa County on July 21, 1913, she died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 at Opp Nursing Home. Survivors include sons Clarence W. Davis of Millbrook, James D. Davis of Millbrook, Donald G. Davis of Montgomery, Thomas F. Davis of Wetumpka and Bobby Wayne Davis in Montgomery; daughter Elizabeth Ann Bigger of Florala; sisters Dorabell Cook of Thorsby; Pearly Smitherman of Clanton, Ida Bass of Clanton and Dorothy Minor of Thorsby; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, James Jones preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Eloyse J. Hodgens, 86 and a resident of Davidston, Ala., and formerly of Cooper, will be held on Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Chestnut Creek cemetery in Cooper, with the Rev. Tommy Jacobs officiating. Heritage Chapel Funeral Home of Alexander City will direct. Born on June 27, 1914, she was the daughter of Jesse C. and Louisa Jones. A native of Cooper, she has lived in Davidston for the past six years. She was a member of the West End Baptist Church in Clanton, and she died on Feb. 10, 2001 at her home. She is survived by her son, John Maurice Hodgens of Biloxi, Miss.; her daughter, Nell H. Glaze of Davidston; a sister, Margie Nell Smith of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to the Country Acres Care Homes, P.O. Box 55, Davidston, AL 36526. This home was founded in her honor.

Ludie B. Jones, 87, of Columbiana died Sept. 16, 2003, at her daughter's home in Calera. She was born in Chilton County in 1916. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbiana. For 35 years, she took care of many children in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Jones, and her daughter, Alma Jean Wright. She is survived by her children, Charles (Betty F.) Allen Jones of Columbiana, Peggy Joyce (Jim) Lee of Calera and Jimmy Wayne Jones of Columbiana; her sister, Doris F. (Buford) Lawrence of Billingsley; two brothers, Melvin Foshee of Clanton and Napoleon Foshee of Billingsley; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Service was Sept. 18 at Bolton Brown Service Chapel, the Rev. Mike Miller presiding. Burial followed in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers make donations to the Chestnut Creek cemetery Fund. She was the daughter of Jesse and Louisa Jones.
