Rufus C. Ferguson, 72, of Maplesville died Friday, May 29, in a local hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at the Maplesville Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Gatlin officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Martin Funeral Home of Clanton directing. Survivors include his wife, Louise Ferguson of Maplesville; three daughters, Sara Nell Oden of Lawley, Dorothy Jo Abbott of Maplesville and Gwen Thompson of Randolph; three sons, Leon Ferguson and Danny Ray Ferguson, both of Maplesville and Bobby Gene Ferguson of Lawley; two sisters, Ruby Smitherman and Gladys Smith, both of Randolph; two brothers, Cecil Ferguson of Randolph and Emmail Ferguson of Jemison; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. William Jackson (Bay) Fiquette, age 53, died Sat. at his home in Clanton. Burial was at Shiloh. He is survived by his Widow, 3 Sons and 3 daughter and by his Mother Mrs. Mary Eliza Fiquette. He had been active in Saw Mill Business for several years.

Funeral services for Thomas Edward Fischer, 71, Plantersville, will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2000, at the Plantersville Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Golson officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Baptist cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Fischer died on Saturday, April 20, 2000, at his residence. Active pallbearers include nephews Larry Jones, Johnny Jones, Eddie Jones, Jerry Atchison, Barry Ousley, and Don Tullos. Honorary pallbearers include the deacons of Plantersville Baptist Church and retired National Guard members from the Selma unit. The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home in Selma from 6-8 p.m. on Friday. Survivors include his wife, Mabel O. Fisher, Plantersville; one daughter, Rebecca Blair, Plantersville; one son, Tommy Fischer, Plantersville; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Alvie D. Fisher, 81, Maplesville, will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Willard Ratlif officiating. Burial will follow at the Methodist Church cemetery in Maplesville, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Fisher was born in Chilton County on March 11, 1918, the son of the late Joe Thomas and Olivia Fisher. He was a security guard. He died on Aug. 7, 1999, at Crowne Health Center in Montgomery. Survivors include two sons, Walter D. 'Buddy' Fisher, Pensacola, and Carl Douglas Fisher, Montgomery; three daughters, Sue Haigler and Betty Abbott, both of Maplesville, and Edith Williamson, Selma; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will also be held today from 2-3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Mrs. Fisher, a homemaker, died June 10. Survivors include her brother, Jerome Gray of Deatsville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Pleasant Grove #1 cemetery in Jemison with Martin Funeral Home directing. Mr. Foshee was born June 10, 1915 in Alabama to the late Major and Mary Dorothy Foshee. He worked as a welder. He died April 18, 1998 at Shelby Medical Center in Alabaster. He is survived by his wife, Merle Gibson Foshee of Jemison; three daughters: Joyce Land and Janis Ellison, both of Jemison, and Nell Greenbauer of Houston, Tex.; a sister Laura Foshee of Jemison; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Foshee.

Tyrone Parton officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing. Foshee was born on Jan. 20, 1916, in Chilton County, the son of the late Calhoun M. and Sue S. Foshee. He was a bookkeeper. He died on Aug. 6, 2000, at his residence.

A memorial service was held for Dr. Clyde Hobson Foshee, 98, Louisville, Ky, on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Pearson Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial followed at Cave Hill Cemetery, with Pearson Funeral home directing. Foshee was born on July 2, 1903, the son of Charles Doster Foshee and Irona Popwell Foshee. He was born on a cotton farm on the Chilton County-Autauga County line near Billingsley. He attended high school in Clanton, as the old Billingsley school went only through the eighth grade at that time. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and Harvard Medical School, and was an Army Medical Corps veteran of World War II. He was a practicing physician for over 40 years and a former president of the Jefferson County (Kentucky) Medical Society. He was a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons and the Cato Society of Retired Physicians. He was a member and former deacon of Second Presbyterian Church in Louisville. He made numerous trips to Billingsley School to present commencement scholarships fro the family's charitable foundation set up for Billingsley graduates. He died Saturday, December 22, at his home in Louisville. He is survived by his wife, the former Isabel Board; two daughters, Mary Agnes Norman, Louisville, and Isabel Plambeck, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; three sons, Clyde H. Foshee, Jr., Dr. Hugh B. Foshee, and Robert M. Foshee, all of Louisville; one brother, Charles C. Foshee, Verbena; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Betha Culver Foshee; three brothers, John Clinton Foshee, Mitchell Foshee and Hugh Madison Foshee; and one sister, Mary Esther Foshee Seay. Expressions of Sympathy may go to the Cabbage Patch Settlement House or other charity.

Funeral services for Dessie W. Foshee, 89, Thorsby, will be held this morning at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Number 1, with Rev. Henry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church No. 1 Cemetery, with Martin funeral Home directing. Foshee was born in Chilton County on March 27, 1910 the daughter of the late Elijah and Ellen Deason Wyatt. She was a housewife. She died at Prattville Baptist Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Foshee. Survivors include one sister, Gladys Williamson, Birmingham, and several nieces and nephews.
