GRACE MAUREEN BUCKNER
SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for Grace Maureen Buckner, 53, will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Millerville Cemetery
with the Rev. Richard Horton officiating.
Mrs. Buckner died Aug. 19 at her residence. She was a native of Clay County and was a retired beautician.
She is survived by daughters, Rachel deRoxtro of Summerville, S.C., and Jamie Parrett of Sylacauga; five grandchildren; brothers, Junior Sargent of Sylacauga, Roger Sargent of Prattville and Eugene Sargent of Childersburg; and sister, Georgette Little of Prattville.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Sargent, Terry Sargent, Mike McGinnis, Darrell Haggety, Randy Penton and Kevin Sargent.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
EDDIE RUFUS COPELAND
ALEXANDRIA — Funeral service for Eddie Rufus Copeland, 70, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Anniston with the Rev. O.E. Webb officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery
in Anniston.
Mr. Copeland died Aug. 16 at his residence. He was retired from the military and was a lifelong resident of Alexandria.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Copeland of Alexandria; daughters, April Thomas of Opelika and Anita Porter of Washington, D.C.; stepdaughters, Carolyn Harris of Columbus, Ga., and Vernetta Foster and Vivian Thompson of Anniston; stepson, William Dumas of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Mildred Morgan of Alexandria; brothers, James Copeland of Anniston and Linder Copeland of Alexandria; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Ervin Funeral Home will direct the service.
LILLIE MARGARET HOLLAWAY
RAGLAND — Funeral service for Lillie Margaret Hollaway, 75, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Usrey-Chapel Hill Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Melvin Salter officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Mrs. Hollaway died Aug. 19. She was a beloved wife and mother and was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Eugene Vernon Hollaway.
She is survived by daughter, Judy Freeman of Ball Play; sons, Travis E. Hollaway, Randy R. Hollaway and James Thomas Hollaway of Ragland; sisters, Elsie Harold and Audrey Brothers of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Barbara Ann Pitts of Gadsden; brother, Wiley C. Pitts of Rossville, Ga.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Amos Tinsley, Michael Tinsley, Derrick Tinsley, Matthew Tinsley, Robert Lipscomb, Bobby Dixon and David Howell.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Usrey-Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA — Albert Ingram, 87, died Aug. 20 at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center in Sylacauga.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Curtis and Son Funeral Home in Sylacauga.

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. — Funeral service for Joel Mims, 70, was Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home chapel in Bainbridge, Ga., with the Rev. Kent Barwick and Mike Baxter officiating. Burial was in Belleview Cemetery
in Colquitt, Ga.
Mr. Mims died Aug. 18 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Ga. He was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Miller County, Ga. He lived in Alabama for 27 years and Florida for 10 years before moving to Bainbridge, Ga., five years ago. He was a Baptist by faith. He farmed for a few years, was an Army veteran and worked for Georgia Power for five years as a lineman. He also worked for Schwerman Trucking Company as a truck driver, dispatcher and terminal manager for 27 years. He worked for Harbart Westbrook Company Birmingham Construction Company for seven years before retiring. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 6652 in Ragland. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Durell Mims and Clara Ruselle Cook Mims.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Bennett Mims of Bainbridge, Ga.; son, Anthony Nell Mims of Pell City; daughters, Tyna Bagwell of Ragland and Beth Baxter of Bainbridge, Ga.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Gary Hipps, Gene Key, Rodney Phillips, Steve Key, David Barwick and Ronnie Cox.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary Hipps, Jacob Bagwell, Elisha Baxter, Shawn Mims, Clay Mims, Tony Mims and Andy Mims.
Cox Funeral Home directed the service.

TALLADEGA — Violet N. (Tootie) Walker, 66, died Aug. 19.

MATTIE ALICE DAVIS CHATMAN
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Mattie Alice Davis Chatman, 62, of 315 Tinney St., will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. B.E. McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Africa Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Chatman died Aug. 17. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Tall Chatman III; and her parents, Joe Davis and Florine Prather Davis. She was a lifelong member of Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, attended Westside High School and was a former employee of the Bemis Company, the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, Crown Textile and NHB Industries.
She is survived by daughter, Allison Edwards of Talladega; sons, Lemuel Bernard Chatman of Talladega and Cedric Trenton Chatman of Kent, Wash.; sisters, Jeanette Twyman of Philadelphia, Pa., and Audrey Garrett of Talladega; brother, William L. Davis of Lexington, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.
ALBERT FREEMAN INGRAM
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Albert Freeman Ingram, 87, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Keith Owensby officiating. Burial will be in Unity Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mr. Ingram died Aug. 20 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Ingram.
He is survived by sons, Albert (Punk) Ingram, Terry Ingram, Rickey Ingram and Roy Ingram, all of Sylacauga; daughters, Barbara McDaniel and husband Mark (Buddy) McDaniel of Sylacauga, Alice Faye Miller of Washington, Utah, Linda Underwood of Mesquite, Nev., and Sue Sebastian of Ironton, Mo.; 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Bill Rayfield, James Ivey, Carl Gaither, Richie Ingram, Rodney Taylor, Eugene Horton and Charles Taylor.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Elsie Mae Threatt, 93, of 336 Threatt Lane, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. S.C. Bolton officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Threatt died Aug. 19 at her residence. She was a native of Talladega County and was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, was in the choir, the Missionary Society and was a deaconess. She was preceded in death by husband, Luches Threatt, and sons, Jesse Threatt and Gloss Threatt.
She is survived by sons, Robert Threatt and wife Eva Threatt, Ulysses Threatt and wife Dorothy Threatt, the Rev. William Threatt and wife Gloria Threatt, the Rev. Stanley Threatt and wife Claudia Threatt, Larry Threatt and wife Mary Threatt and Billy Wayne Threatt and wife Arletha Threatt, all of Sylacauga; daughters, Bertharine Burney and husband Charlie Burney of Bessemer and Carolyn Harvey and husband Roy Harvey of Sylacauga; daughter-in-law, Vivian Threatt; 68 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren; and 46 great-great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed Saturday at the church at 11:30 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Larry Threatt Jr., William Threatt Jr., Anthony Threatt, Jermine Threatt, Demetris Harvey and Gloss Threatt Jr.

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Violet N. (Tootie) Walker, 66, of 725 Roosevelt St., will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Talladega with Samuel Holt officiating. This will be a closed casket service. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Ms. Walker died Aug. 19 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. She was a lifelong resident of Talladega County. She was a member of New Life Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lusetta Keith; father, Will Keith; brothers, Milton Keith, Junior Keith, Olen Keith, Samuel Carter, George Ivory Carter and Lennon Carter; and sisters, Lillie Belle Keith, Lucille Lee, Rosie Reaves, Josephine Keith, Maude Swain and Ransie Swain.
She is survived by sons, Walter Tanner, Lewis Tanner and Fred Warwick III of Talladega; daughters, Carolyn Lawson, Joyce Curry, Allison Lindsey, Glenda Crowe and Wanda Warwick of Talladega and Gwen Gajadhar of Georgia; sister, Margaret Lee of Gadsden; brothers, Otis Downer of Florida, Joel Carter Detroit, Mich., and George A. Carter of Sylacauga; 24 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Friends of the family will serve as flowerbearers and pallbearers.
The viewing will be private to family members only Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
