MARY NELL KNOTT WAITES
TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Mary Nell Knott Waites, 77, was Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery
in Talladega with the Rev. John Waites and the Rev. Charlie Bolt officiating.
Mrs. Waites died Aug. 11 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Fred (Ed) Waites; her parents, the Rev. E.O. and Willie Butler Knott; sister, Charlotte Juanita Knott and a grandson, James E. Waites II. She was a native of LaGrange, Ga., and had lived most of her life in Talladega County. She was a retired nurse from Citizens BMC in Talladega with more than 24 years of service. She was a member of the Cherry Street Church of God for the past 53 years. She and her husband owned Waites Grocery in Talladega for many years.
She is survived by daughters, Freddie Nell Jones of Talladega, Audrey Juanita Gilley of Marietta, Ga., and Evelyn Waites of Talladega; sons, Jim, John and Dan Waites, all of Talladega; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brian Gilley, Jason Jones, Allen Yates, John Ed Waites, Cole Waites and Tyler Waites.
Talladega Funeral Home directed the service.

ALEXANDER CITY — Telles Allen died Aug. 13 at Adams Nursing Home.

EUNICE MAE BONE
TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Eunice Mae Bone, 98, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Winterboro Baptist Church Cemetery
with the Rev. Mike Jones officiating.
Mrs. Bone died Aug. 12 at Talladega Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Bone Sr.; four sons, Thomas H. Bone Jr., Frank Bone, Jimmy Bone and Hugh Bone; and great-granddaughter, Lacie Lockridge. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a Methodist by faith. She was a retired textile worker.
She is survived by daughter, Doris McCormick of Dayton, Ohio; son, John W. Bone and his wife, Betty of Jacksonville; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Wills, Jonathan Suddeth, Steve Williams, Johnny Norred and Tabor Tritschler.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

BIRMINGHAM — Funeral service for Nellie M. Caudle, 91, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home South chapel with the Rev. Tony McGrady officiating. Burial will be in Marble City Cemetery.
Mrs. Caudle died Aug. 12. She was a member of Shelvin Rock Baptist Church and was a native of Talladega County.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

CLAUDINE ISBELL GRAHAM
PELL CITY — Funeral service for Claudine Isbell Graham, 60, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Frank Paris officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Graham died Aug. 13 at her residence. She was a member of Center Point Freewill Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Pell City.
She is survived by her husband, Hubert R. Graham; daughters, Peggy Walker (Doug) of Pell City and Nadine Graham of Pell City; grandchildren, Brandy Burgess (Avery), Alan Grayson, Jennifer Grayson, Heath Walker and Heather Walker; great-grandchild, Alexis Grayson; brother, Ronnie Isbell of Ashville; and sisters, Kathleen Thompson, Linda McVey, Joyce Gentry and Bonnie Bellew, all of Pell City, JoAnn Echols of Ragland and Barbara Alverson of Gadsden.
Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
ARCHIE EDWIN HEARD
VINCENT — Funeral service for Archie Edwin Heard, 86, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Vincent with the Rev. Carl Williams and Neil Nation officiating. Graveside service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Collinsville Cemetery.
Mr. Heard died Aug. 12 at Brookwood Medical Center. He was a long time resident of Vincent and was retired from Kimberly Clark with more than 25 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. His sweet smile and encouraging ways will be missed by all those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathryn Jane Heard of Vincent; daughter, Myrna (Neil) Nation of Pell City; sons, Mark (Marci) Heard of Bowling Green, Ky., and Matthew Heard of Talladega; grandchildren, Jonlyn Nation, Malia Nation, Daniel Heard, Sarah Jane Heard, John Mark Heard, David Andrew Heard and Kathryn Heard; and two cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Vincent.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

VIRLEY A. HUDDLESTON
OXFORD — Funeral service for Virley A. Huddleston, 85, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. Barry Grizzard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Huddleston died Aug. 12 at Oxford House in Oxford. He was a native of Randolph County and had lived in Oxford for the past three years. He was a farmer, had been employed with Sampson Cordage and was a member of Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church.
He is survived by daughters, Ruby Jones of Oxford, Billie Faye Moore of Anniston, Elizabeth Elder of Oxford and Patricia Wilson of Anniston; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Huddleston, Keith Elder, Brian Denney, Bennie Shepard, Blake Shephard, Wayne Shepard and Bobby Elder.
Residents of Oxford House will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. Thursday and until one hour before the service Friday.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

MONTINE DICKINSON ROZELLE
LINCOLN — Funeral service for Montine Dickinson Rozelle, 84, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lincoln United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Napp officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
Mrs. Rozelle died Aug. 13 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lincoln, attended Brenau College for two years and was a graduate of the University of Alabama. She was a member of Lincoln United Methodist Church and was a member of the Quest Club. She was one of the founders of the Fun Club, was retired from the Department of Human Resources and was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Rozelle and a son, Mark Rozelle.
She is survived by son, Hal Rozelle and wife Ava H. of Lincoln; daughter, Susan Rozelle Bezemer and husband Cor of Brantford, Ontario, Canada; grandchildren, Eddie Tyler and Anna Trawick of Brantford, Ontario, Rebecca Rozelle of Carbondale, Ill., and Jessica Rozelle and Ryan Rozelle of Lincoln and great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Elizabeth Trawick and Bryce Tyler of Brantford, Ontario.
The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m.
The body may be viewed for one hour before the service at the church.

DIXON MILLS — Funeral service for Peggy Ann Thornton Golden, 55, was Sunday, July 20, at the O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Fields and the Rev. Paul Hickman officiating. Burial was in Dunning Cemetery
in Dixon Mills.
Mrs. Golden died July 18. She was a native of Sylacauga. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel T. Golden; and her parents, Woodrow Thornton and Imogene Thornton Gossage.
She is survived by her husband, William T. Golden III of Dixon Mills; her dad, Woodrow Gossage of Sylacauga; son, William T. Golden IV and his wife Carey L. Golden of Clarksville, Tenn.; sister, Woodie Hickman of Rockford; grandchildren, William, Blake and Jacob Golden; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Dotson, Wayne Sherbert, Thomas Edmondson, Grady Thornton, Eddy Hill and Richard Hill.
O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville directed the service.

HEFLIN — Funeral service for Alvin Lee (Dunie) Pruitt Jr., 30, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Heflin with the Rev. C. Bolton officiating. Burial will be in Heflin City Cemetery.
Mr. Pruitt died Aug. 9 at Stroger Hospital in Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Lee Pruitt Sr.
He is survived by sons, Devin Watson of Chicago, Ill., Alvin Pruitt III of Heflin and Marcus Elijah Pruitt of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Alvina Pruitt and Taylor Pruitt of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Mary Cash, Vivian Williams, Genora Garrett and Kinyada Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; brothers, Craig Pruitt, Marcus Pruitt and Cogan Garrett of Chicago, Ill.; stepfather, Henderson Garrett of Heflin; mother, Flora Pruitt Garrett of Heflin and grandmother, Lucille O'Hara of Heflin.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
