Mary Irene Riffle, 72, of Ocala, Fla., passed away Thursday, Aug 12, 2010, at Flowers Hospital, following a battle with cancer. She was living in Enterprise with her daughter, Dawn Mathner.
Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Mathner of Enterprise and Linda Boils of Sweetwater, Tenn.; three sons, William Thompson, Fanny Springs, Fla., Ray Riffle of Patascala, Ohio, and Bob Riffle of Blacklick, Ohio; brother, William L. Krumm of Anthony, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Roy Jones (R.J.) Lindsey, 76, of Enterprise went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 12, at First Baptist Church of Enterprise with the Rev. Sonny Moore, Rev. Ralph Jones and Kenneth Straughn officiating.
Burial will follow in Meadowlawn cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, at the funeral home.

R. J. was a Korean War Veteran and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church.

Donald Eugene Boyd, 80, of Enterprise passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Ga.
Burial followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens. Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Linnie Marie Boyd and Jess Kyle Boyd; sisters, Joyce Turner and Nila Johnson; a brother, Jimmy Boyd.

Helen Elizabeth Murphy Ceres, 87, of Daleville died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, in Fort Mitchell National cemetery at Seale, with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

Mrs. Ceres, the daughter of the late Loran M. and Mattie Gay Murphy, was born June 11, 1923 in West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Norbert Ceres.
Survivors include her son, Loran (Marie) Patterson of Daleville; and her granddaughter, Jackie Seivers of Ozark.

Lexie Ruth Martin, 84, of New Brockton passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2011.

Mrs. Martin was born Dec. 28, 1926 in Holmes County, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Harriett Smith Helms; a daughter, Denise Mims; and her husband, Syrrell Martin.

Funeral services for Robert Mayo Carmichael, 66, of Elba, were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sam Williams and Mixon Carmichael Jr. officiating.
Burial with full military honors followed in the church cemetery with Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Carmichael passed away Saturday morning, May 27, 2006 at Medical Center Enterprise following a brief illness. He was born in Coffee County on April 9, 1940 to the late Mixon Carmichael and Fostine Taylor Carmichael. He was a career military man whose service to his country spanned for 23 years. He was employed with the Fort Rucker Fire Department for 14 years. His father, as well as a daughter, Collen Shane Carmichael, a son, Bobby Ray Carmichael, and granddaughter, Amy Marie, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Carmichael of Elba; his mother, Fostine Carmichael of Enterprise; two sons, Lynn Keith Carmichael and James Kenneth Carmichael; one stepson, Wayland Bernice Dowell; two sisters, Ann Day and Jill Carmichael; three brothers, Mixon Carmichael Jr., Jack Carmichael, and Joe Carmichael; five grandchildren, Jessica, Casey, Amber, Amanda and Madison; one great-grandchild, Jordyn Lynn Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fleissner passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at his home, after a long battle with heart disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Michael Fleissner and a brother, John Fleissner.

Gaston J. Hornsby Jr., 83, of New Brockton passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Flowers Hospital.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 at the EL Bethel Assembly of God with the Revs. Eddie Crutchfield Sr., Steve Comer and Greg Doss officiating.
Burial followed in the Old Tabernacle cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the El Bethel Assembly of God Church.

John S. Mitchell, 88, of Enterprise, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 in the Medical Center Enterprise.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at the First Baptist Church of Enterprise with Rev. Earl Mitchell, Col. (Ret.) Rev. Sonny Moore and Dr. Frank Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home Monday from 5 until 8 pm. He was born Oct. 19, 1921 in Cullman County, to the late L.S. and Florence Hendricks Mitchell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Enterprise. He was ordained as a deacon at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Albertville. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy. He had lived in Enterprise since 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Zadle Mitchell of Enterprise; one son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Beverly Mitchell of Enterprise; three grandchildren: Melanie Sneed (Fred), Meredith Hamilton (Keith) and John Mitchell, Jr. (Heather), all of Enterprise; great-grandchildren: Jessica Sneed, Mitchell Bonura, Tatum Mitchell, Bailee Sneed, Camille Bonura, Tyler Mitchell; two step grandchildren: Clifton Sneed and Kodi Hamilton; sisters-in-law: Allie Swords and Hilda Cole, both of Albertville, Daisey Cole, Ocala, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Maj. (Ret.) Carlie Bryant, Don Vaughn, Lowell Galloway, Jimmy Smith, Frank Moultrie, Kinn Pittman and Ron Ferrell. His Sunday school class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Gary Allen, Dr. Sam Sawyer and Dr. Sherry Roach, as well as the nurses on the fourth floor at Medical Center Enterprise.

Ida Strickland, 57, of the New Hope Community passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, in Enterprise.
