Choccolocco — Funeral services for Gwendolyn Teague, 58, of Choccolocco, Ala., will be announced by Goodson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Teague died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Stringfellow Hospital.
WELCH
Anniston — Services for Ms. Elizabeth Ann Streeter Welch, of Anniston, Ala., will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Anniston Funeral Service Chapel in Anniston, with the Rev. Jeffery Williams, officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Hills cemetery in Anniston with Anniston Funeral Services in charge. The body will be at the chapel until time of services.
Mrs. Welch passed away Friday, May 12, 2006 at Stringfellow Hospital in Anniston, Alabama.
Survivors include one son, Anthjuan (Randy Bowens); one daughter, Anthjuanese Koley Christopher; her grandchildren, Aaliyah Hendricks, Monterria Young and Moniya Montgomery; sister and brothers, Debyie Streeter, James Streeter, Alphonso Streeter, Willie Streeter, Frank Streeter, Jr., Willie James Mitchell and Rodney Lee, Sr.
Ms. Streeter was an Alabama native and graduated from East High School in Rochester, N.Y., in 1984 and worked at Regional Medical Center as a registered phelebotomist.
The family will accept flowers.

Wedowee — Graveside services for Ruth Wilder, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006 from Providence Baptist Cemetery.

DEJESUS
Services for Lois Faye DeJesus, 74, of North Little Rock, Ark., were at 2 p.m. April 18 in the chapel of Roller-Owens Funeral Home. Pastor Arthur Ward officiated.
Mrs. DeJesus died April 15 at Springhill Baptist Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Joe Pou of Memphis; three sons and a daughter-in-law, William R. DeJesus and Mark A. DeJesus Jr., of North Little Rock and Richard D. and Brenda DeJesus of Jacksonville; a brother and sister-in-law, William “Buddy” and Pauline of Jacksonville, and five grandchildren, Stephanie and Jaclyn Loomis of Memphis, Blake DeJesus of Fairfield Bay, John Robert Lee of Benton and Bill Lee of Jacksonville.
Her parents, William and Eura West Tarkington, preceded her in death.
GABLE
Graveside services for Karen S. Gable, 52, of Jacksonville were at 2 p.m. April 19 at Plum Spring Cemetery. Rev. Larry Moore officiated. Miller Funeral Home directed.
Mrs. Gable died April 13 at Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham.
Survivors include her husband, Roger D. Gable of Jacksonville; a daughter, Tonuyah Martin of Birmingham; a son and daughter-in-law, Clarence “Chopper” and Barbara Martin of Piedmont; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry and Karen Herron of Wellington and Michael Herron of Lincoln; and four grandchildren, Johnathan Raines, Brandon McWilliams, Christina Reaves and Eric Reaves.
Her parents, Thomas W. And Lois C. Herron; two brothers, Donald “Donny” Herron and Kenneth Herron, and a grandson, Kevin Beal, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers were Norris Fortenberry, Chris Herron, Larry Herron Jr., Donny Herron, Joe Woodrow and Harry Hardy.
LEE
Services for Sheryl Denise Lee, 42, of Jacksonville were at 2:30 p.m. April 18 at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with Revs. Alton Parris and Wendell Ray officiating. Burial was in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lee died Saturday at Riverview Medical Center in Gadsden.
Survivors include her husband, Randy G. Lee; her mother, Frances Ray of Jacksonville; two daughters, Heather Michele Pruitt and Brandy S. Lee of Jacksonville; a son, Travis “T.J.” Lee of Jacksonville; two step sisters, Mary Ellen Jones, Dalton, Ga., and Ladonna Hagan, Douglasville, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Her father, James Thomas Ray, and a daughter, Reannon Lee, preceded her in death.
MORGAN
Graveside services for Bernice E. Morgan, 95, were at noon April 17 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. Bill Etheridge officiated. K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center directed.
Ms. Morgan died April 14 at her home after a brief illness.
Survivors include a sister, Ann Morgan Simmons of Anniston; nieces and nephews, Brenda Abel of Melbourne, Fla., Julia and Dewey Brock of Jacksonville, Linda and Mike Danesi of Newton, N.J., Bill and Vicki Morgan of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Judith Simmons and Tom Blakely of Atlanta, and many great- and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many college students at Jacksonville State University with whom she shared her home and her life over the years.
Ms. Morgan was preceded in death by her siblings, Edwin Morgan of Jacksonville, Pauline Caldwell of Ohatchee, Evelyn McLaney of Dothan, and Reuben Morgan of Birmingham.
Ms. Morgan graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1929 and received a teaching certificate from Jacksonville State Normal College a few years later. Due to the economic conditions of the time however, she never taught school. Instead, she worked at the Anniston Army Depot until 1947, at the Utica Mill until it closed in 1958, and at Town and Country Realty in Jacksonville until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville.

PATTERSON
Services for Ted Walker Patterson, 65, were at 2 p.m. April 18 in the chapel of Folsom Funeral Home in Piedmont with the Rev. Johnny Bonds and William Millestead officiating. Burial was in Nances Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson died April 14 in Jacksonville.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Patterson; two daughters, Jeannie Reaves and Debora McCurry of Jacksonville; two sons, Darin Patterson and Chris Bivins of Jacksonville; a sister, Linda Angles of Jacksonville; a brother, Tommy Patterson of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ricky Knight, Brandon Hilton, Joe-Joe Cox, James Clay, Jeff McCurdy, David Patterson, Paul Reid and Paul Bonds.
Mr. Patterson was an Etowah County native and long time Calhoun County resident. He was a retired roofer and was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Patterson; a sister, Faye Penland, and his parents, Cleve and Alma Patterson.
STRINGFELLOW
Memorial services for Nellie Faye Stringfellow, 76, were at 5 p.m. April 15 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mrs. Stringfellow died at her home after an extended illness.
Survivors include four children, Milford Stringfellow, Vicky Weaver, Deborah Sage and Kennith Stringfellow; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; special friend, Delaine Szars and closest friend, Rachel Calhoun.
Mrs. Stringfellow was an area resident for 35 years. She co-owned and operated City Body Shop along with her late husband, Bay Stringfellow.
WATKINS
Services for William Clinton Watkins, 96, were at 11 a.m. April 14 at K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with Dr. Deryl Wood officiating. Burial was in Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Watkins died April 11 at Jacksonville Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Vera Andrews Watkins of Jacksonville; a sister, Colinne McNames of Mississippi; a brother, Amos Watkins of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Tina Strickland and her husband, Marc, of Clay, and Nicholas Riddle of Naples, Italy; three great-grandchildren, Jeremy Angles, Alex Strickland and Katie Strickland; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his daughter, Gayle Cole; his son, Doyle Watkins; a brother, Lamar Watkins; and two sisters, Gertrude Crosby and Lottie Domnick.
Pallbearers were Nicholas Riddle, Marcus Strickland, Jeremy Angles, Jack Hildebrant, Justin Cook, Tim Baird and Ted Homesley.
Mr. Watkins was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church where he had served as deacon. He enjoyed farming and gardening.
WHITFIELD
Graveside services for Billy Wayne Whitfield, 60, of Jacksonville were at 2 p.m. April 17 at Young’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Whitfield died Saturday at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Whitfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Ramonda and James Sitz, of Gadsden; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Whitfield of Rockwood, Tenn.; three stepsons, Michael Hulsey, Scott Kelley, and Roy Kelley of Jacksonville; a special family member, Chris Bundrum of Piedmont; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Phillis and Wayne Carroll of Gadsden, Frankie Thomason of Gadsden, and Barbara Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Cindy Whitfield of Gadsden, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
