Burial was in the Morris Chapel Cemetery.
She died Sunday, November 9, 1997, at Parkway Medical Center.
Ms. Norton was a native of Lawrence County and had been employed with Burger King for 16 years.
Survivors include a son, Brian Norton of Courtland; one daughter, Tanya Norton of Courtland; her mother, Pearl Bell of Moulton; a brother, Darrel Bell of Moulton; three sisters, Faye Montgomery of Trinity, Annette Calhoun and Barbara Overton, both of Moulton; and two grandchildren.
Employees at Burger King were the pallbearers.

Nellie Borden Riner died Thursday, November 6, 1997, at Huntsville Hospital.
The funeral was held Saturday, November 8, 1997, at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Elder officiating.
Burial was in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Danville.
Mrs. Riner was born in Lawrence County and was a member of Unity Chapel Holiness Church in Lawrence County.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Riner of Decatur, Fletcher Riner Jr. and Tommy McDonald, both of Danville; three daughters, Omie Looney and Betty McBride, both of Hartselle and Beverly Montgomery of Danville; two brothers, Burse Borden of Danville and Glen Borden of Hartselle; a sister, Closie Roberts of Hartselle; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were the pallbearers.

Funeral for David E. Davis was held Saturday, November 8, 11 a.m., at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Sessions officiating.
Burial was in the Caddo Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Wednesday, November 5, 1997, at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Colbert County to Oscar and Willie Mae Scott Davis. Mr. Davis was employed by Morton International.
He is survived by his mother, Willie Mae Davis of Trinity; six brothers, Ted Davis and Sammy Davis, both of Trinity, Terry Davis of Decatur, Larry Davis of Danville, Phillip Davis of Mount Hope and Raymond Davis of Sheffield.
Pallbearers were Todd Osborne, Keith Thomas, Jeff McCulloch, Wade Wilson, Larry McMurry and Joe Cardwell.

The infant died Tuesday, November 4, 1997, at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham.
He is survived by his parents, Michelle Collins and Joseph Sheppard of Speake; his grandmother, Malinda Collins of Danville; his great-grandparents, David and Margie Hranac of Danville and Cecil and Martha Collins of Addison.
Ruben Wilton Leggett

A graveside service for Ruben Wilton Leggett was held Tuesday, November 4, 2 p.m., at Highland Park Cemetery in Hattiesburg, Miss., with the Rev. Earnie Stokes officiating and Rockco Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Leggett died Sunday, November 2, 1997, at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa.
He was born in Mississippi and was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local No. 377. Mr. Leggett was a World War II veteran and a member of Seminary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Leggett; a son, John Wilton Leggett of Moulton; a stepdaughter, Twana Crocker of Tarrant; a brother, Vardaman Leggett of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a sister, Mrs Lloyd Leggett Fortenberry of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral for J.C. "jeff" Guire, who died Saturday, November 8, 1997, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, was held Monday, November 10. The 2 p.m. service was held at Roselawn Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Roland Westmoreland officiating.
Burial was in the Roselawn Cemetery.
He was born in Alabama to John and Ada Embery Guire and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Celia Guire; a son, Billy Guire of Decatur; two daughters, Brenda Guire Landers of Decatur and Christine Leeth of Hartselle; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; a brother, J.H. (Harvey) Guire of Hartselle; and three sisters, Margaret Russell of Decatur, Edna Gann of Hartselle and Margie Moses of Moulton.
Pallbearers were Brandon Landers, Bradley Guire, A.J. Guire, Bryan Wright, Ronnie Maze and James Weaver.

Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Town Creek, with Colbert Memorial, Tuscumbia, directing.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Town Creek, a member of Jackie Brackins' Sunday school class, a member of the youth group and youth choir. Evan was in the Beta Club, on the baseball team and the basketball team at Hazelwood. He was a member of American Legion Post 25 baseball team.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Patricia Sheffield of Town Creek; a sister, Tara Sheffield of Town Creek; his grandmothers, Magdalene Berryman and Lucille Patterson, both of Town Creek.
Pallbearers were Jackie Brackin, Wade Crumpton, Jerome Jaggers, Jim Peebles, Doug Russell, Darren Welborn, John Yates and Johnny Yates.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Hazelwood High School senior class, the H.H.S. baseball team, members of the American Legion Post 25 baseball team and the youth group at First Baptist Church, Town Creek.

Burial was in the Montgomery Cemetery with Elliott Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Montgomery died Wednesday, November 12, 1997, at Baptist Medical Center Princeton in Birmingham.
He was born in Lawrence County and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Montgomery was also a farmer and was a retired maintenance supervisor for Lawrence County Schools.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Armor Montgomery; one son, Don Montgomery of Birmingham; four daughters, Doris Looney Frost of Eva, Vicki Montgomery Vaughan of Decatur and Willine Montgomery Legg and Gayle Montgomery Porter, both of Moulton; two brothers, Parker Montgomery of Moulton and Carl Montgomery of Muscle Shoals; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were the pallbearers.

Mrs. Pierce was born in Lawrence County. She was a member of Hatton Church of Christ and was the widow of Joseph Pierce.
Her survivors include one son, Joseph Darrell Pierce of Decatur; three daughters, Christine Birdwell and Betty Hill, both of Moulton and Anna Berryman of Town Creek; two brothers, Paul Cameron of Town Creek and Clyde Cameron of Mount Hope; five sisters, Ola Long and Helen LouAllen, both of Moulton, Edith Glenn and Mattie Lou Hardy, both of Decatur and Bessie Mae Jamison of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Montgomery, John Montgomery, Jimmy Hill, Eric Berryman, Beau Gaddis and Robert Miles.
Grandsons were the Honorary Pallbearers.

She was born in Lawrence County. Mrs. Terry was retired from the former Lawrence County Hospital and was a member of Moulton Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Bill J. Terry of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Hershel Houston of Cincinnati and Carl Houston of Florida; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
