Funeral for Constance "Connie" M. Dickerson, who died Saturday, March 22, 1997, in her home, was held Monday, March 24. The 11 a.m. service was held at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. John Caltfelter officiating.

A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m. that day at Hayes Cemetery in Hayden.

Mrs. Dickerson was born in Cullman County.

She is survived by her husband, John C. Dickerson; one son James G. Dickerson of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, Aaron Morgan of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Decatur General Hospital Foundation or Hospice of the Valley.

Joe C. Farr

92, retired farmer, Courtland

Funeral for Joe C. Farr was held Wednesday, March 19, 1 p.m., at Friendship North Baptist Church with the Revs. Ernest Dillard and Hyrom Argent officiating.

Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Hamilton Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Farr died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at Decatur General Hospital.

He was born in Detroit, Ala. To John and Eddie Murray Farr. He was the widower of Mildred Farr.

Survivors include one son, Billy Joe Farr of Marrero, La.; one daughter, Elizabeth F. Reding of Courtland; one brother, Lester Farr of Caldwell, Ga.; one sister, Mattie Lee Taylor of Tupelo, Miss.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Billy Chenault, Denver Wright, Leon McKenzie, Johnny Farr Jr., Ricky Wright, Brian Tessitore, Buddy Simmons and Stanley Alexander.

Susie White Hardy

65, homemaker, Courtland

Funeral for Susie White Hardy, who died Wednesday, March 26, 1997, at Parkway Medical Center, was held Tuesday, April 1. The noon service was held at North Courtland Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Marshall Garner officiating.

Burial was in the Annie Mae Willingham Memorial Garden with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Hardy was born in Limestone County and was a member of North Courtland Primitive Baptist Church.

Thursday April 10, 1997 Silas Daniel

80, retired farmer, Hillsboro

Funeral for Silas Daniel, who died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center, was held Tuesday, April 8. The 2 p.m. service was held at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Revs. Junior Hale, Jerry Hood and Carold Hall officiating.

Burial was in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Daniel was born in Lawrence County to Lucas and Shirley Daniel. He was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Daniel; one son, Billy Wayne Daniel of Hillsboro; seven daughters, Vickie Lauderdale and Margrette Hurst, both of Moulton, Wanda Terry of Town Creek, Shelia Pearson, Judy Kelly, Shirley Sparks and Lola Dishon, all of Hillsboro; two sisters, Louise Heflin of Moulton, Maybell Cartee of Hayti, Mo.; 28 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Delmar Sparks, Chris Hurst, Faron Terry, Edward Kelly, Wayne Daniel and Jonas Hobbs.

Clarence "Shady" Terry

86, Trinity Stone and Gravel retiree, Decatur

Funeral for Clarence "Shady" Terry was held Tuesday, April 8, 11 a.m., at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Caudle officiating.

Burial was in the Blackground Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Mr. Terry died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Medical Park Convalescent Center.

He was born in Wheeler to the late Tiller and Ella Kimbrell Terry.

Mr. Terry was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He managed Decatur Tomboys softball team and was a champion checkers player.

Survivors include one sister, Bessie Bolton of Trinity; two brothers, Rayburn "Buster" Terry and Thomas "Tennie" Terry, both of Decatur.

Pallbearers were Jim Watson, Eddie Watson, Glenn Bibb, Richard Smith, Loyd Maner and Barry Maner.

Honorary pallbearers were members of his Sunday school class.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.

Mattie Mae Hallmark

96, homemaker, Town Creek

Funeral for Mattie Mae Hallmark was held Sunday, April 6, 2 p.m., at Donald Baptist Church in Town Creek with the Revs. Mickey Brackin and Milton Burks officiating.

Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home Directing.

Mrs. Hallmark died Thursday, April 3, 1997, at home.

She was born in Colbert County to Meredith and Sarah Elizabeth Gargis. She was the widow of Eliga Hallmark. Mrs. Hallmark was a charter member of Donald Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Irene Brackin and Estelle Bradford, both of Town Creek; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Brice Brackin, Paul Brackin, Robert Bradford, Bobby Hallmark, Gary Hallmark and Cheston King.

William "Bill" Titus III

58, retired steel worker, Moulton

Funeral for William "Bill" Titus III was held Saturday, April 5, 2 p.m., at Elliott Funeral Home with the Revs. Jackie Shelton and Jerry Strickland officiating.

Burial was in the Old Mount Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Titus died Thursday, April 3, 1997, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center.

He was born in Colorado to William Darwin Titus II and Betty Kilmer Titus. Mr. Titus was retired from Correctional Equipment. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Olena Titus; five sons, Donald Issac of North Carolina, and Danny Ray Hill, Shawn Hill, Thomas Benjamin Hill and Quenton Peoples, all of Moulton; two daughters, Pepper Lynn Titus of Moulton and Trudy Douglas of Texas; two brothers, Steven Titus of Florida and Tim Titus of Nebraska; one sister, Tana Stephenson of Lubbock; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Frankie Banister, Jeffrey Banister, Lee Borden, Harland Dale Peoples, Jason Adams and Frank Kilgore.

James "Fice" Edward Carter

53, construction worker, Town Creek

James "Fice" Edward Carter died Monday, March 31, 1997, at Columbia Medical Center Shoals after a car accident in Leighton on March 28, 1997.

The funeral was held Friday, April 4, 11 a.m., at First Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek with the Rev. B. W. Lecorn officiating.

Burial was in the Jones Cemetery in Town Creek with Thompson and Son Funeral Home directing.

He was born in Town Creek. Mr. Carter was a U.S. Marine veteran and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Wendell Bynum of Decatur and Derrick DeShawn Carter of Leighton; his father, Wilbur Crayton of Courtland; two brothers, Henry Wallace Carter of Birmingham and Charles L. Carter of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Dorothy C. Wright of Muscle Shoals and Annie Jean Townsend of Toledo, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

Zelma Brackin Hatton

77, homemaker, Town Creek

Funeral for Zelma Brackin Hatton, who died Tuesday, April, 1, 1997, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, was held Thursday, April 3, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The 11 a.m. service was officiated by the Rev. Ron Winterburg.

Burial was in the Moulton Memory Gardens.

She was born in Lawrence County to Charles Abner and Zora Brackins.

Mrs. Hatton was a member of Sanderson Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Quinton Hatton; five daughters, Wilda Lowry of Leighton, Helen Frost, Sue Johnson, Gail Thrasher and Karen Weems, all of Town Creek; one sister, Velma Thompson of Decatur; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Raymond Frost, Dewey Thrasher, Phil Lowrey, Dale Weems, Dale Kidd and Johnathan Thrasher.

Lillian Naylor Shelton

80, homemaker, Moulton

Funeral for Lillian Naylor Shelton was held Wednesday, April 9, 11 a.m., at Elliott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jackie Shelton officiating.

Burial was in the Moulton Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Shelton died Monday, April 7, 1997, at National Healthcare in Moulton.

She was a native of Lawrence County and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Naylor.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Lee Shelton, Moulton; six sisters, Daisy Kendri of California, Vivian Naylor, Gearldine Key, Sherry Seabrook, Mary Spillers and Margaret Jackson, all of Moulton; seven brothers, Clellie Naylor of Atlanta, Ga., Irvin Naylor of Decatur, Carl Naylor, Windell Naylor, Roger Naylor, Marshall Naylor and Hoyte Naylor, all of Moulton; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Jeff Shelton, Brandon Shelton, Baron Shelton, Blain Shelton, Billy Shelton and Steven Key.
