Sarah Ethel Clausell

Sarah Ethel Clausell, 79, of Peterman died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
Clausell was a native of Marengo County and had lived in Monroe County for a number of years. She was a domestic worker/homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Johnny Lee Clausell of Elmore; five daughters, Annette Clausell and Alice “Faye” (Charles) McCorvey, both of Peterman, Georgia Parker of Monroeville, Betty Agee of Frisco City and Linda (Willie) Richardson Jr. of Tunnel Springs; one brother, Buera (Ester) Robinson of Dayton, Ohio; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mary Anna Gregson Fralick
Petty’s Funeral Home Eastside Chapel, Atmore
Mary Anna Gregson Fralick, 73, of Uriah died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007.
Fralick was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Edwin Gregson and George Leslie Gregson.
Survivors include her husband, Arvel Lee Fralick; five sons, Larry O’Neal Fralick, Tony Lee Fralick, Joseph Gregory Fralick, Mark Alan Fralick and Paul Evan Fralick, all of Uriah and Adam Leon Fralick of Prattville; one daughter, Kathy Fralick Harrison of Uriah; five brothers, John Clifford Gregson, Bernie Leon Gregson, Joseph Daniel Gregson, Darrell Lavoy Gregson, all of Uriah and James E. Red Gregson of Salem, Utah; three sisters, Sadie L. Dixon of Uriah, Elaine Rogers of Goodway and Carolyn V. Glade of West Point, Utah; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Thursday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m. for family and from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty’s Funeral Home Eastside Chapel in Atmore. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. in Eastside Chapel in Atmore with Elder Greg Albritton officiating. Burial will follow at Popular Springs Cemetery.
J.B. Lane
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Atmore
J.B. Lane, 84, of Atmore died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at his home.
Lane was born in Escambia County and retired from Vanity Fair Mills as a Dye House operator.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Salter Lane.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Rev. David Walsh and Bro. Bob Gibson officiating. Burial followed in Enon Baptist Cemetery in Enon.
Willie Ed Murphy
Penn’s Funeral Home, Monroeville
Willie Ed Murphy, 55, of Beatrice died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 in Monroe County Hospital.
Murphy was a native of Beatrice and lived in Monroe County all of his life. He was a truck driver for Pineville Timber and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Beatrice.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gail Jones of Beatrice; three sons, Antonio Jones, DeAundra Jones and Carlos Jones, all of Beatrice; four daughters, Brittany Jones of Beatrice, Sherry Murphy, Freda Murphy and Rena Murphy, all of Montgomery; eleven brothers, William Murphy of New Jersey, Mack Murphy of Atmore, Willie Murphy, Donald Murphy, Johnny Murphy, Joe Charles Murphy, all of Montgomery, Nettles Murphy of Monroeville, Bennie Murphy of Beatrice, Claude Murphy of Selma, Charles Salter of Florida and Gerald Murphy of Montgomery; five sisters, Sally Murphy, Bessie Murphy, Mary Murphy and Bettye Murphy, all of Beatrice and Hannah Murphy of Monroeville; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church in Beatrice with Rev. Thomas Jackson, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mamie Louise Lawson-Stallworth
Penn’s Funeral Home, Monroeville
Mamie Louise Lawson-Stallworth, 64, of Pensacola, Fla. died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 in a Pensacola hospital.
Stallworth was a native of Perdue Hill and had lived in Monroe County for most of her youth. She was a homemaker and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pensacola.
Survivors include her husband, Levert Stallworth of Pensacola; one daughter, Leretha E. Savage of Pensacola; four brothers, Lumanell Robinson of Bay Minette, Hardy Lawson of Perdue Hill, Theodore Lawson of Monroeville and William Johnson of Sacramento, Calif.; four sisters, Carrie Robinson of Perdue Hill, Emily Stallworth of Pensacola, Mattie Sue Williams of Mobile and Essie Clausell of Weripon, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Penn’s Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Rose Baptist Church in Perdue Hill with Rev. Matthew Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Willie E. Watts

Willie E. Watts, 65, of Pensacola, Fla. died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
Watts was a native of Conecuh County.
Survivors include seven brothers, Jeff Davis of Evergreen, Rayford Watts of Louisiana and California, Joe Watts, of Southfield, Mich., Charlie Watts and James Watts, both of Detroit, Mich., Warren Watts of Inkster, Mich. and Norman Watts of Chicago, Ill.; and three sisters, Katie Howard of Inkster, Loree Moore of Detroit, Mich., and Betty Jean Watts of Louisiana and California.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at New Hope A.M.E. Zion Church in Burnt Corn with Rev. Mack officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Gloria Gwendolyn Bulger

Gloria Gwendolyn Bulger, 61, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006 at her home.
Bulger was a member of Green Tree Christian Fellowship, and contributed significantly to the Fellowship of Christians of Jews, American
Leprosy Foundation, Trinity Broadcasting Network and Feed the Children Foundation.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Bulger of Andalusia; her mother, Irene Gentry of Uriah; one daughter, Beverly (Vince) Byrd of Uriah; two step-sons, Daron (Khris) Bulger of Andalusia and Jason (Chasidy) Bulger of St. George, Ga.; one sister, Mazie Jeter of Daphne; three brothers, Todd (Dotsie) Gentry of Demopolis, James (Peggy) Gentry and John Dee Norris, all of Uriah; six grandchildren and a ex-husband, Kenneth Lambert of Uriah.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 17 at Red Oak Baptist Church with ministers John Eiland and Clyde Northrup officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Sara Rogers Butler
Johnson Funeral Home, Monroeville
Sara Rogers Butler, 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Butler was born in Franklin and grew up in Mobile. She attended the University of Alabama and Auburn University. After graduating she moved to Dallas, Texas where she raised a family.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Leslie Rogers and Bill Rogers Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Leslie Butler, Steven Butler and Mark Butler and five grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with graveside services following at River Ridge Cemetery in Franklin. Following the service family and friends are invited to the home of Bill Rogers in Franklin for a post funeral visitation and reception.
Donations in her name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the American Cancer Society.
