MARY JANE FRANKLIN
GOODWATER — Graveside service for Mary Jane Franklin, 63, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Hinnen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Franklin died July 23 at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City. She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, had been employed by Southland Manufacturing Company and was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
She is survived by brother, Marlin Barnett of Goodwater; sister, Linda Gayle Hollis of Sylacauga; nine nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.
Pallbearers will be Bud Barnett, Terry Hallman, Ricky Barnett, Blake Lewis, Terry Prickett and Jimmy Bishop.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 until 8 p.m. Friday and until service time Saturday.

JOHN WILLIE HALL
ANNISTON — Funeral service for John Willie Hall, 75, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Anniston Funeral Service chapel with Brother Marvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Hall died July 23.
He is survived by his wife, Dessie Hall of Anniston; sons, Willie Hall of Anniston and Otis Hall of LaGrange, Ga.; sister, Minnie Pugh of Aberdeen, Md.; brother, Arthur Hall of LaGrange, Ga.; stepson, David McKinney of Anniston; stepdaughters, Mattie Riggins, Stephanie Kelley and Cathy Jemison of Anniston and JoAnn McRath of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home for one hour before the service.

LEEDS — Graveside service for George Jones, 74, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Wallace Cemetery
in Harpersville with Elder James W. Stone Jr. officiating.
Mr. Jones died July 21.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Jones of Leeds; and sister, Elisa McGraw of Harpersville.

CROPWELL — Stanley Kirby, 61, died July 24.

MARTIEL McVEY
LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Martiel McVey, 80, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Clay County Funeral Home chapel with David Rozelle officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. McVey died July 23 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a native of Baton Rouge, La., and had lived in Clay County most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence McVey.
She is survived by daughters, Bonnie Parker of Lineville and Betty Denney of Lineville; sons, Ralph McVey of Lineville, Marshall McVey of Derby, Kan., Jimmy McVey of Douglasville, Ga., and James McVey of River Falls; sisters, Maudine Henley of Waverly, Mary Crawford of Ashland, Bessie Latham Latimore of Pensacola, Fla., and Essie Watts of Ashland; brother, Lemuel Latham of Goldville; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Grandsons and granddaughters will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday beginning at 6 p.m.

JOHNNIE ADELL MILLER
LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Johnnie Adell Miller, 69, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Larry Mitchell, the Rev. John Whetstone and the Rev. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens in Talladega.
Mrs. Miller died July 23 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a native of Clay County and had lived most of her life in Talladega County. She had lived in Lineville for the past three years. She was retired from Palm Beach Manufacturing Company in Talladega and was a member of Chandler Springs Assembly of God.
She is survived by her husband, L.D. Miller of Lineville; daughter, Debra M. Davis of Lineville; stepdaughter, Donna Webster of Vernon; sons, Daniel Mitchell of Lineville and Donald W. Mitchell of Talladega; sister, Maybelle Carrie Denson of Lineville; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Greg Webster, Matt Webster, Chase Mitchell, Jeremy Hardy, Eugene Pettus and Shane Smith.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30 until 8 p.m. Friday and until service time Saturday.

WILLIAM FRANK TEMPLE JR.
ANDALUSIA — Graveside service for William Frank Temple Jr., 88, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mr. Temple died July 22 at Andalusia Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Frank and Mary Pitts Temple; sisters, Clara Thomas and Muriel Brooks; and brothers, James P. Temple and Robert W. Temple.
He is survived by his wife, Sue White Temple of Andalusia; son, William Frank Temple III of Troy, Ohio; daughter, Suzanne Temple of Florida; brothers, Dr. James P. Temple of Dadeville; sisters, Frances Cravey of Jackson, Virginia Hassett of Sylacauga and Mary Rayfield of Huntersville, N.C.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

OXFORD — Funeral service for Margie Thompson, 48, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Inner City Ministries in Anniston with the Rev. Larry Tiller officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died July 21.
She is survived by daughter, Sharron Parker of Oxford; son, Darrell Thomas of Lincoln; brothers, James Graves, Michael Graves and Tim Graves of Attalla and Enoch Cameron and David Cameron of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Cindy Cameron of Gadsden and Anita Cameron of Attalla; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

MORGAN RYAN VANDERSLICE
LINCOLN — Funeral service for infant Morgan Ryan Vanderslice, 11 weeks, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Darryl Castleberry officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Infant Vanderslice died July 23. She was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Cordell (Cory) Vanderslice; her great-grandparents, Alton and Barbara Wolf; her great-grandfather, Elbert Castleberry; and her great-great-grandmother, Girthel Irene Epps.
She is survived by her parents, Jeremy and Stephanie Vanderslice of Lincoln; brother, Brady Tyler Vanderslice of Lincoln; grandparents, Fred Hugh and Kathy Vanderslice of Lincoln, Ronald Castleberry of Pell City and Howard and Julie Whisnant of Lincoln; great-grandparents, Shirley Pettit of Lincoln, Martha Castleberry of Pell City, Lillin and Arthur Skelton of Pleasant Grove and Lewis and Susie Whisnant of Beason Cove; and a host of aunts and uncles.

MARY JEAN WALKER
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Mary Jean Walker, 51, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Sylacauga with the Rev. Charles Atkins officiating. Burial will be in Lilly Rhoden Cemetery
in Childersburg.
Ms. Walker died July 22 at Coosa Valley BMC. She attended the Central Alabama Community College Nursing Program and was a former employee of Sylacauga Hospital.
She is survived by her father, John T. Hall of Childersburg; sister, Rosie M. Walker of Birmingham; brothers, the Rev. Alvin Walker of Sylacauga and Charlie Ben Hall of Florida City, Fla.; and a host of other relatives.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and flowerbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from noon until 9 p.m.
