KATHERINE I. BROWNLIE died July 8. She was born July 25, 1925. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Santa Fe, at the corner of Barcelona Road and Galisteo Street.

REYNALDO "REY" LUCERO SR., 73, of Sheridan, died Wednesday at his home. He was born on Oct. 6, 1929, in Las Vegas, N.M., to Jose Reyes Lucero and Efren Chavez Lucero. He was united in marriage on March 3, 1951, in El Pino Ranch to the late Ernestina M. Romero. He moved to Forest Grove, Ore., in 1966 and moved back to Las Vegas, N.M., in 1987. He retired from the Forest Grove Public Schools in Oregon, where he was employed as custodian for 15 years. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Reyes and Efren Lucero; wife, Ernestina M. Lucero; sons, Luis Garfield Lucero and Charlie Lucero; daughter, Mary Helen Lucero.
He is survived by his son, Reynaldo A. Lucero Jr., and wife Elvira of Las Vegas, N.M.; daughter, Lorraine Lucero of Las Vegas, N.M.; sons, Henry Richard Lucero, Charles George Lucero and fiancee Helen De La O, all of Las Vegas, N.M., and Manuel Lucero and wife Donna of Sheridan, N.M.; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Benerito Lucero and wife Elena of Las Vegas, N.M., and Salvador Lucero and wife Dolores Santa Cruz of Española; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 8 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Burial will follow at the San Jose Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Rogers Chapel today where family and friends may call.

SALLY M. MARTINEZ, 80, of Dublin, Texas, for the past five years and a 60-year resident of Las Vegas, N.M., died Tuesday at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Dublin, Texas. She was born on Nov. 20, 1922, in Vallecitos. She was a member of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Lou McCabe of Stephenville, Texas; sons, Larry Martinez of San Antonio, Texas, Dexter Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M., and Eric Martinez of Alamogordo; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Rosary devotional services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Rogers Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where she will be interred next to her husband, Louis Martinez.

LOUISA M. RAEL, 76, of Ranchitos, died Wednesday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy Rael; son, Jimmy Rael; and great-grandson, Marcelo Enriquez.

MARY R. ROMERO, 70, of Albuquerque for the past 46 years and a former resident of Las Vegas, N.M., died Thursday at the Northeastern Regional Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on Jan. 6, 1933, to the late Felix and Teresita Baca. She was united in marriage to Ciferdo J. Romero on July 3, 1957, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, N.M. She retired from the St. Joseph's Hospital in Albuquerque, where she was employed as a surgical technician for 39 years. She enjoyed being with her family. A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of St. Therese Church in Albuquerque and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Teresita Baca and brothers, Eduardo Baca, Pablo Baca and Fidel Baca.
She is survived by her husband, Ciferdo J. Romero of the family home in Albuquerque; sons, Mark J. Romero and wife Loretta, and Michael J. Romero, all of Albuquerque, Daniel J. Romero and fiancee Merlinda Orozco of Las Vegas, N.M.; grandchildren, Marc Anthony Romero, Aaron A. Romero, Christen Marie Romero, Jacob C. Romero, Danyelle Romero and Sabrina Romero; sisters, Pita Ortiz of El Paso; Julia Cruz and husband Pete of Colorado Springs, Colo., Agatha Allen and Rita Suazo both of Las Vegas, N.M.; brothers, Teno Ortiz and wife Sue of Albuquerque, and Ron Lee Lucero of Santa Rosa; niece raised as daughter, Bernice Lucero and husband Max of Ojitos Frios; nephew raised as son, Manuel Romero Jr. and wife Liz of California; and many other relatives and friends.

ELVIRA F. SEGURA, 63, died Tuesday after a tragic accident in Acoma. She was born in Puerta de Luna on Nov. 23, 1939. She attended Santa Rosa High School and graduated in 1957. On April 30, 1960, Elvira and Joe Pat Segura were married. She was a secretary to Gov. David Cargo in the late 1960s. She later went to work at Harvey and Capshaw junior high schools. In the 1980s, she was the office manager at Monte Sol Realty and a personal assistant to Don Meredith. In her spare time, she volunteered at the Open Hands Thrift Store and was employed as a medical receptionist at Lovelace until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Libby and Katie Flores; and her brother, Erminio Flores.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Michael Segura and wife Letitia Montoya and family of Santa Fe, Patrick and wife Ana Segura and family of Albuquerque, Gregory and fiance Debra Stevens and family of Santa Fe, and Leonard Segura and fiance Angela Marino and family of Santa Fe; sisters, Dora and Arseno Sanchez, Antonia and Arturo Martinez, Ramona Brusseau, Patsy Ortiz and Frank Trujillo, Dolores and Eddie Campos, Fabby and Gilbert Gomez, Teri Cordova, Evelyn Marquez and Joe Gallegos, and Marianne and Bill Ware; brother, Danny and Mabel Flores; and many other relatives.

MOSES V. GUTIERREZ, 58, of Rio Rancho, died Sunday following a short illness. He touched the lives of many with his ministry.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Mark Gutierrez.
