ESTHER MONDRAGON, 93, of Taos died Friday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Estevan Mondragon; and daughter, Molly Montoya.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Mondragon and wife Priscilla, Cecilia Cortez, Manuelita Mondragon, Marcella Garcia and Eva Martinez (who were raised as daughters); four grandchildren; special niece, Lucy Himes; and many other relatives and friends.

CARROLL SEGHERS II, 79, of Santa Fe died Monday.
He was born in Cincinnati and moved with his parents to Coral Gables, Fla. As a pilot and flight instructor during World War II, he was stationed in Columbus, Miss., and Sheppard Field in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he was one of the first 19 helicopter pilots in the Army Air Corps, now the U.S. Air Force. He was an illustrative photographer who, as a leading member of the creative photo revolution in the '60s and '70s, produced memorable advertising for Texaco, Marlboro, Salem, American Express, Chrysler, United Airlines, Coca-Cola and Kodak. In the early '50s, he participated in the pioneer efforts of creative underwater photography with Flip Schulke, Jacques Cousteau, Jack Woods and others. He rose to prominence by winning both the First Prize for Individual Pictures and an Honorable Mention in the Photo Story category of Life magazine's Photo Contest for Young Professionals in 1951. He spent almost four decades in advertising, winning several Clio Awards, in addition to being a featured contributor to Life magazine. He had lived in Santa Fe since 1989.
He is survived by his sister, Jeanne Ann Seghers Moorman; his current wife, Carol; his second wife, Jan McArt and her daughter Deborah Lahr Lawlor, both of Boca Raton, Fla.; his first wife, Betty and their children, Carroll Seghers III of Princeton, N.J., and Lorraine Seghers Shropshire and Dan Seghers, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

CARLOS G. LUJAN, 68, of Jaconita died Sunday after a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Jaconita. He was a retired member of the Carpenters Union No. 1353 and later went into business for himself as Carlos Lujan Construction. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Pojoaque.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Clotilde Lujan; daughter, Carla Sue; son, Walter; and sister, Eliria Roybal.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susie; daughters, Judy Lujan and companion Reyes Reynosa, Clara and husband staff sergeant Ross Spinks; daughter-in-law, Lois Roybal; five grandchildren; brothers, Albert and wife Minnie Lujan of Las Cruces, Rosendo and wife Mary Lou Lujan of Jaconita; sisters, Mary Ann and husband Billy Trujillo of El Rancho, Carmen and husband Speaker of the House Ben Lujan of Nambé and Lucy and husband Robert Garcia of Pojoaque; and many other relatives.

MARIA T. MARTINEZ, 43, of Ranchitos died Sunday after a long illness.
She was a lifelong member of the community of Ranchitos. She worked for the state of New Mexico for two years and worked for the county offices for over four years. She loved to plant flowers in her garden and admire her handy work.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard "Dickie" Herrera.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Martinez; father of her daughter, Joseph Martinez; mother, Tillie Herrera; sister, Veronica Lopez and husband Adrian; brother, Richard Herrera and wife Rosemary; and many other relatives.

ELOISA B. MONTOYA, 90, of Santa Fe died Sunday.
She was born in Santa Fe, married Manuel Montoya and raised six children. She was a member of St. Anne's Parish and Union Protectiva. She was a loving wife, sister and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Francisita Barela; brothers, Willie Barela and John Barela; and husband, Manuel Montoya.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita Gurule and husband Modesto, Sally Baca and husband Paul, Mary Cannon and Frances Palombi; sons, Manuel Montoya and John Montoya and wife Diana; 16 grandchildren; sister, Nellie Senteney; and many other relatives and friends.
