WITHERS
Barbara Withers, 69, Iberia, formerly of Dixon, died June 12, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 29, 1932, in St. Charles, a daughter of Edgar and Clara VanCleve Kneemiller. She was married Oct. 4, 1957, in St. Louis, to Clifton Harley Withers Sr., who died Feb. 5, 1992.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: three sons, Donald Conner, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Bruce Conner, Jefferson City, and Paul Withers, Iberia; one stepson, Clifton Withers Jr., Jefferson City; one daughter, Rita Messersmith, Dixon; one sister; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One son, John Withers, and one stepson, Steven Withers, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. Walt Pollard will officiate. Burial will be in Fox Crossing Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:30-8 p.m. today and from 9-11 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
FALEN
Howard Dean Falen, 73, Sunrise Beach, died June 11, 2001, at his home.
He was born March 5, 1929, near Hope, Kan., a son of Henry and Tura Bayes Falen. He was married June 19, 1949, to Margaret Ziebell, who survives at the home.
He was a retired Teamster from Associated Wholesale Grocers of Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of Osage Community Elks Lodge 2705, Laurie, and the Coffee Bunch Gang.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Connie Jackson, Kansas City, Kan.; three sons, Howard Dean Falen Jr., Kansas City, David Falen, Blue Springs, and Rick Falen, Raytown; one brother, John H. Falen, Phoenix; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One daughter, Kressy Caldwell, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate. Entombment will be in Garber Memorial Estates Columbarium, Laurie.
WEINRICH
Victor Lee Weinrich, 72, Lake Ozark, died June 8, 2001, at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Sedalia, a son of Earl and Birdie Goodman Weinrich. He was married Sept. 9, 1961, in Kansas City, to Denise Cummins, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran, he was facility operation manager at Royal Oaks Hospital, Windsor. He spent 11 years as the resident manager at the YMCA Camp Gravois, Versailles. He worked for the Kansas City Southern Railroad and Remington Arms Corporation.
Other survivors include: one son, Alan Weinrich, Columbia; one daughter, Susan Weinrich Bacon, Jefferson City; one brother, Ed Weinrich, Kansas City; one sister, Evelyn Kirchoff, Sedalia; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri River Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
TERWILLIGER
Bertha Terwilliger, 88, Eldon, died June 11, 2001, at St. Johns Hospital, Washington .
She was born Sept. 4, 1912, in Freeburg, a daughter of John and Ethia Hart Clark. She was married March 14, 1932, in Vienna, to Ivan Terwilliger, who died Feb. 11, 1986.
She was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church, the Terry Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church, all of Vienna, and the Aurora Spring Baptist Church.
She worked in factories until she and her husband built the Wye Motel, south of Vienna. In 1964 she worked as a nurse's aid in Jefferson City until 1970 when she began working as a checker in a grocery store.
Survivors include: one son, Dallas Terwilliger, Eldon; two daughters, Nadine Unell, Brandenton, Fla., and Carlene Jenkins, St. Louis; one brother, George Clark, Meta; two sisters, Lillie Hollis, Meta, and Louise Rowden, Iberia; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Donald Terwilliger, and one grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. The Rev. Verlin Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from noon-2 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Vienna Public Cemetery Perpetual Fund or the First Baptist Church Vienna Building Fund.
HOLLIS
Mary Jane Hollis, 62, Jefferson City, died June 12, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 6, 1939, in Rogers, Ark., a daughter of Eugene P. and Montess F. Finn McGinnis. She was married Aug. 8, 1959, to Harold Dean Hollis, who died April 7, 1998.
She attended high school and college in Kansas City. She worked for AT&T from 1959-1963 in Kansas City. She was a statistician for the Missouri Highway Department from 1964-1978. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and was chairman of the Episcopal Re-Sell It Shop.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. Harvel R. Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Grace Episcopal Church, 217 Adams St., Jefferson City, Mo. 65101; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

YOUNG
Emily "Ialene" Young, 90, Camp Cole, formerly of Stover, died June 13, 2001, at Fairview Nursing Home, Sedalia.
She was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Cowgill, a daughter of Luther and Effie Burt Goe. She was married on Jan. 11, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan. to George Herbert "Shorty" Young, who died April 18, 1989.
She worked at Tweedies Manufacturing and Primo Pants Company, Versailles, and Smithsons, Stover.
She moved from Stover to Cole Camp two years before moving into the nursing home in April.
Survivors include: one daughter, Marcella P. Vansell, Sedalia; six grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, David G. Young on May 2, 2001, and one brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Scriver-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover. The Rev. Diane Cutler will officiate. Burial will be in the Stover Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Stover United Methodist Church or the Stover Cemetery.
WILLIAMS
John Raymond Williams, 54, Jefferson City, died June 12, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 20, 1946, in Burlington, Iowa, a son of Lawrence R. and Ethel Margaret Ryan Williams. He was married June 23, 1981, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Minda Combong Gonzales, who survives at the home.
He was attended Burlington High School, Burlington, Iowa, and graduated from Chaminade University, Honolulu. He also received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.
An Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he later served with the Navy for 20 years until retiring in 1989. He was a Veteran Service officer with the Missouri Veterans Commission, Jefferson City.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jennifer Chen, Jefferson City; two sons, Michael Gonzales, Honolulu, and John L. Williams, Jefferson City; two sisters, Margaret Miller, Burlington, Iowa, and Alice Ryan, New Orleans; and one grandson.
Private family services will be at a later date in Hawaii.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
ROESCH
James Godfrey Roesch, 76, Jamestown, died June 12, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born May 28, 1925, near Jamestown, a son of James A. and Ada Musick Roesch. He was married Aug. 21, 1948, in Jamestown, to Norma Mary Cordray, who survives at the home.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a farmer. He attended Jamestown St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He was a life member of VFW Post 4345 in California and served as a Republican committeeman. He was a charter member of the Jamestown Lions Club and the Moniteau County Historical Society.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jane Roesch Forck, New Bloomfield; and two sisters, Juanita Roesch, Tipton, and Evelyn Belman, Phoenix, Ariz.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Chester Marshall will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in the Jamestown St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul's United Church of Christ Building Fund, Jamestown.
PLETCH
Earnest "Earnie" Paul Pletch, 91, Eldridge, formerly of Camdenton, died June 12, 2001, near Eldridge.
He was born March 18, 1910, in Frankfort, Ind., a son of Guy and Bertha Stewart Pletch. He was married Dec. 26, 1973, to Mary Neeley Leap, who survives at the home.
He was a graduate of Jackson Township School. He was employed with the Royal American Shows Circus Company and later attended pilot school in Kansas City. He worked for Cox Aviation as a commercial pilot. He owned a café and a welding shop.
He was a member of the Prosperine Baptist Church and the OX5 Aviation Pioneers Club.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Carol Joy May, North Webster, Ind.; two sisters, Betty Louise Cox and Nina Pauline Cragun, both of Frankfort; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. John Angst will officiate. Burial will be in Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
