D'EAGLE
Nida A. D'Eagle, 81, Jefferson City, died Jan. 7, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born May 23, 1921, in Mountain View, a daughter of Wellman and Edna Patterson Arthur.
She graduated from Mountain View High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University and Drury College, in Springfield. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1945, she worked for the Missouri Department of Health for more than 30 years, retiring as an executive secretary in 1983. She was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and the Missouri State Retired Employees Association.
Survivors include one son, David A. D'Eagle, Jefferson City, three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Wendell Stoneburner will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Bunker Hill Ranch, in care of the Missouri State Teachers Association.
FLETCHER
Services were today for Sarah E. Fletcher, 91, Versailles, who died Jan. 5, 2003, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
She was born Oct. 7, 1911, in Morgan County, a daughter of Joseph H. and Mary L. Jobe Woods. She was married April 26, 1934, in Kansas City, Kan., to Fred R. Fletcher, who died Sept. 7, 1991.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Windsor, and attended Family Worship Center, Versailles. She had lived in Windsor.
Survivors include: one son, Daniel Eugene Fletcher, Montrose, Colo.; one daughter, Lamona Mae Ray, Windsor; one brother, Edward Woods, Versailles; one sister, Buhlea Berkstresser, Crane; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
One son, Fred Fletcher Jr., and one daughter, Loretta E. Fletcher, preceded her in death.
Services were at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Danny Owsley officiated. Burial was in Versailles Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Family Worship Center.
GARRETT
Claudine K. Garrett, 80, Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Ashland, died Jan. 6, 2003, at Parkvilla Home, Tucson.
She was born April 8, 1922, in Boone County, a daughter of Clarence J. and Alta M. Forbis Calvin. She was married Feb. 7, 1942, in Columbia, to Durmont Garrett, who survives.
She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include: one son, Russell Garrett, Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Violet Joan Burmont, Parkville; one brother, Joseph Calvin, Nixa; one sister, Alma Lorraine Sapp, Hartsburg; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday.
GILCREST
Marcella C. Gilcrest, 93, Jefferson City, died Dec. 29, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 22, 1909, in Ft. Scott, Kan., a daughter of Albert R. and Della Curts Peterman. She was married Sept. 3, 1933, in Rolla, to Glen Rice Gilcrest, who preceded her in death.
She attended schools in Ft. Scott and Kansas City. She worked for Jenkins Music Company in Jefferson City, demonstrating and teaching the Hammond organ. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was the former choir director and former member of the Morning Music Club. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: one stepson, C. R. Gilcrest, Pahrump, Nev.; one stepdaughter, Martha Lou Payne, Tucson, Ariz.; three step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Rudolph W. Beard will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Scott.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church, 324 Madison St., Jefferson City, Mo. 65101; or a charity of the donor's choice.

HOWSER
H.T. "Corky" Howser, 66, Eldon, died Jan. 6, 2003, in Eldon.
He was born Sept. 16, 1936, in Miller County, a son of Burnham E. and Dollie Taylor Howser.
An Air Force veteran, he worked for Rock Island Railroad for more than 20 years. Most recently, he was a delivery person with APAC Construction Company, Osage Beach.
Survivors include: two sons, Warren Lee Howser, Eldon; and Steven M. Howser, Madison, Ind.; two brothers, Billy Gene Howser, Jefferson City, and Lee Boyd Howser, Eldon; four sisters, Sharon Shaw, Fair Grove, and Shirley Schaeffer, Martha "Polly" Morris, and Rosie Willis, all of Eldon; and two grandchildren
One infant daughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jim Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to The American Heart Association.
HULETT
Cliff Hulett, 85, Camdenton, died Jan. 6, 2003, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.
He was born Oct. 29, 1917, in Marshall, a son of George and Daisy Pitney Hulett. He was married April 1, 1944, in Cour d'Alene, Idaho, to Tillie Sobba, who survives at the home.
He owned and operated Cliff Hulett Chevrolet-Olds dealership, Camdenton, until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, and was on the Lake of the Ozark Hospital steering committee to form a hospital at the Lake. He was a member of the Camdenton Chamber of Commerce, Gideon's International and the Missouri Automobile Dealers Association. He donated property for Camden Manors in 1974 and was a charter member of Lake Valley Country Club. He received a papal blessing in 1978 and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: three sons, Ron Hulett, Ray Hulett and Ken Hulett, all of Camdenton; one daughter, Glenna Hulett, Camdenton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Camdenton. The Rev. Bob AuBuchon and the Rev. Tom Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Dale Blair Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or Gideon's International.
NIENHUESER
Emerson O. Nienhueser, 84, Jefferson City, died Jan. 7, 2003, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born Nov. 9, 1918, in Cottleville, a son of Oliver H. and Emma Simon Nienhueser. He was married Aug. 11, 1940, in Fulton, to June Emma Edwards, who survives at the home.
He was a graduate of Hermann High School. He moved to Fulton in 1940 and worked as a variety store manager and was assistant manager for the Kroeger Company. He moved to Jefferson City in 1952 and worked for Wallace Simpson Tobacco Company for 17 years. He worked for the Department of Revenue as a supervisor of the income tax division, until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Central United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Church Brotherhood and VFW Roy Sone Post 1003. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: two sons, Gayle E. Nienhueser, Anchorage, Alaska, and Robert O. Nienhueser, Jefferson City; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Central United Church of Christ. The Rev. Stephen H. Buchholz will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Central United Church of Christ.
