Alan A. Ferguson formerly of Elgin
Services for Alan A. Ferguson, 50, of Schaumburg, will be held at 11:30 a. m. Monday, at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington.
Born Dec. 29, 1948, in Evanston, he died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.
Mr. Ferguson was employed as an accountant with Mayster and Hambourger in Lincolnwood. He was a member of Willow Creek Community Church.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Ferguson; daughter, Cara Ferguson of Elgin; son, Brett (Jodi) Ferguson of Maryland; parents, Gilbert and Arline Ferguson of Elgin; and brothers, Orrion Ferguson of Elgin and Brian (Deborah) Ferguson of LaHabra, Calif.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p. m. Sunday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.

Joseph Gliniewicz formerly of Round Lake Beach
A Mass of the Resurrection for Joseph Gliniewicz, 84, of Largo, Fla., will be held at 9:30 a. m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Round Lake.
Born Dec. 20, 1914, in Michigan City, Ind., he passed away Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at Largo Medical Center in Largo. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
A 31-year Round Lake Beach resident, Mr. Gliniewicz retired to Largo in 1978.
He had been employed by International Harvester for more than 29 1/2 years, as a welding engineer. He was a member of the Teddy Bear Club, Oak Crest Resident Club and St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo, and former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Round Lake.
He leaves his loving wife, Rosalie (nee Lentek), whom he wed on Feb. 6, 1937, in Chicago; daughter, Rosalie (Dave) Clingerman of Round Lake Beach; daughters-in-law, Lynne Gliniewicz of Paducah, Ky. and Debbie Gliniewicz of Bristol, Wis.; sisters, Josephine Bober of Wheeling, Sylvia Surek of Round Lake Beach and Geanie Gliniewicz; brothers, Robert (Donna) Gliniewicz of Wauconda and William (Marilyn) Gliniewicz of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Donald Gliniewicz on May 15, 1998; brothers, Steve and Henry; and sister, Dorothy McLean.
Friends of the family may visit from 4 to 9 p. m. Sunday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.

John W. Sherman II of Arlington Heights
Memorial services for John W. Sherman II, 57, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 906 E. Central, Arlington Heights.
Born Nov. 30, 1941, in Baltimore, Md., he died Monday, June 21, 1999, at home.
Mr. Sherman had been a resident of Arlington Heights for 20 years. A veteran, he had served in the Marine Corps during the Vietname War.
Surviving are his wife, Denise Sherman (nee Welk); children, John W. III and Elizabeth Sherman; parents, John W. and Helen Sherman; sisters, Nancy (Peter) Rumsey, Patricia (James) Grimshaw, Rosemary (Steven) Bono and Carol (Joseph) Allen; and many nieces and nephews.

Suzanne Kleven of Round Lake
Services and interment for Suzanne Kleven, 68, will be private.
Born Feb. 7, 1931, in Elgin, she passed away Thursday, June 24, 1999, at home.
A 63-year Round Lake resident, she was an avid gardener and for many years worked at Leiders Garden Greenery planting springtime flowers.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Earl of Round Lake; son, Bradley (Diane) of Round Lake; adored granddaughters, Karissa and Lacey of Round Lake; sister, Marcia (Donald) Florian of Round Lake; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Carl Siegmeier.

Vincent J. Lukasik Sr. of Lindenhurst
A Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent J. Lukasik Sr., 81, will be held at 10 a. m. today, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa.
Mr. Lukasik passed away Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at home. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
An Air Force veteran of World War II, Vincent was a member of the Lake Villa V. F. W. as well as the Lake Villa American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Helen (nee Janaszkiewicz); sons, Vincent Lukasik Jr., David (Orlee) Lukasik, Robert (Jane) Lukasik and Richard (Marty) Lukasik; grandchildren, Mary Beth, Carol Anne, Vince, Andrew (Heather), Tiffany, Gordon, Christine, Orlee and Katie; great-grandchildren, D. J., Matthew, Alexis and Austin; and sisters, Mary, Connie, and Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ceilia, Rose and Helen.

Born Sept. 3, 1918, in Racine, Wis., he died Monday, June 21, 1999, at home.

Mr. Marcinkus attended school in the Waukegan area. An
Army veteran of the
Korean War, he retired from U. S. Steel.
He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Born March 25, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio, he died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at home. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Martin had been employed by Sears Roebuck & Company as a department manager for more than 30 years. An
Army veteran, Mr. Martin had been a eucharistic minister at St. Clare Catholic Church in Lyndhurst, Ohio, for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his children, Robert C. Martin of Winston-Salem, N. C., Kenenth G. Martin of North Hills, Calif., Nancy J. Martin of Chapel Hill, N. C. and Diane (Roy John) Hoppe of Arlington Heights; grandson, Ryan J. Hoppe of Arlington Heights; brothers, Henry (Alma) Martin of North Carolina and George Martin of North Carolina; sister, Irene Russell of Alaska; and former wife, Marjorie J. Martin.

Roy C. Nordlund formerly of Rolling Meadows
Services for Roy C. Nordlund, 75, of Bristol, Wis., will be held at 6 p. m. today, at Haase-Derrick Lockwood Funeral Home, 620 Legion Dr., Twin Lakes, Wis.
Born March 2, 1924, in Chicago, the son of Carl and Josephine Olsson Nordlund, he passed away Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
He served in the
Army Air Force from Dec. 9, 1942 until his discharge on Feb. 24, 1946. He worked as a plant superintendent for Johnson Glass and Plastic Company in Chicago for many years before retiring in 1979. He had been a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Antioch and manager of Little League in Rolling Meadows. He enjoyed playing pool. Mr. Nordlund moved to Lake Shangri-La in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Grace (nee Krewoy), whom he married on Nov. 13, 1948, in Chicago; daughters, Cynthia (Craig) Prisching of Palatine and Melissa (John) Wojszko of Slinger, Wis.; sons, Jeffrey (Candice) of Bartlett and Scott (Linda) of Rolling Meadows; grandchildren, Tressa Nordlund, and Todd and Kari Prisching; and sisters, Daisy (Joseph) Wociewicz of Chicagoand Dorothy (Francis) Trawin of Park Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Josephine Olsson Nordlund.

James A. Pavlus of Libertyville
A memorial service for James A. Pavlus, formerly of Waukegan, will be held at 7 p. m. Monday, at St. Joseph's Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville.
Mr. Pavlus, 52, is believed to havemet with a fatal accident while hiking in California's Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in late April 1998. Despite search efforts during the past 14 months, his remains have never been found. The memorial service will bring closure for his family and friends, and honor his life.
A native of Syracuse, N. Y., he received his undergraduate degree in biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his masters degree in library science from CaseWestern Reserve University. He was a 25-year employee of Abbott Laboratories, having worked the majority of those years as a librarian.
Most recently he held the position of emerging technologies analyst.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne; son, John, a senior at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N. Y.; daughter, Sarah, a junior a Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.; parents, John and Janet Pavlus of Brooksville, Fla.; and brothers, David (Wendy) of Skaneateles, N. Y. and Donald (Carol) of Liverpool, N. Y.
A service for family and friends in the Syracuse area will be held at the end of July.

Kevin David Pfeiffer of Little Angels Nursing Home, Elgin
A funeral Mass for Kevin David Pfeiffer, 16, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Palatine.
Born March 20, 1983, in Glendale Heights, the son of David and Karen (nee Kline) Pfeiffer, he passed away Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Sherman Hospital. Burial will be in private.
He attended Kirk School in Palatine.
Survivors include his parents of Hanover Park; sister, Jessica of Hanover Park; his maternal grandfather; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; maternal grandmother; and uncle, Kerry Kline.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p. m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin.
